This data could not be scrutinised using common classes of expenditure.
The biggest challenge to meet future needs was the inability to cluster discrete business working groups into any change combinations i.e. Balance Sheet functionality for asset and debtor management (Cash flow) and produce a management relevant Profit and Loss and Performance Reports.
How could this challenge be met from a holistic risk and commercial view?
This assessment provided 2 pathways to lead and meet:
- Technical – Break apart the existing data and keep like with like.
- Prepare external Financial Reporting – Assemble the data for two businesses and prepare an audit unqualified Financial Statements.
